Hanging out

Ali on the slide at the park near our house.
Lizzie is ready to go...she seems to really enjoy going places to look at all the people around her!
Elizabeth is such a happy baby...Chris says we are "Two for two" on having beautiful and very good babies! We are so blessed.
Alexandra had to wear her whole rain gear outfit the other day when it was sprinkling... and I just wanted to see her all dressed up!

Lizzie started "talking" so much this past week...she is making all sorts of noises and joining in our conversations now! We love it!

Ali joined the Summer Reading Club at the library...she loves reading books...and we're so proud of her for all of her "Early Literacy Skills!!" :)
We love matching outfits!! (Thanks Nana & Poppa!)

Matching Bitty Baby jammies...Thanks Grandma & Grandpa!

Oma and Opa visit!

We are so lucky to have Oma and Opa here this weekend! Ali was SO excited for them to come she kept looking out the window for their car! We went to a beautiful park, Faust Park, and there was a carousel there...Alexandra's favorite thing!!

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Daddy's Day! We got to go for a little hike and have a picnic near the Meramac River. Chris is such a wonderful father...I just love that he LOVES being a Daddy to his two little girls. He looks forward to seeing them after work, is creative, patient, and funny while playing, and thoroughly ENJOYS his family time. He even forgoes football games, golf matches, etc. just to spend time with all of us....although we did give him some time on Father's Day to watch Tiger in the U.S. Open. We all got into watching the end...we had Ali yelling "Go Tiger!!"

Paddle Boats!!

One of the best things about moving to a new area is getting to explore all of the fun places around! Here we are in Forest Park, supposedly the biggest public park in the U.S.--even bigger than Central Park I guess! We got to go out on the little lake while Nana was holding Lizzie on shore. I thought paddle boating was really easy until Chris stopped paddling on his side...oops...I guess I hadn't been pulling my weight!

Elizabeth is 4 months old!

Lizzie is four months old now and such a happy baby! She is always smiling and watching everyone around her. She makes us so happy! We love you little one!

Nana's Here!

Nana comes to visit for the weekend! Yeah! It's so fun for the girls to spend time with their Nana! Lucky for us, my mom volunteers to babysit for us one night so we can have a date night!

Grant's Farm

Ali was so excited to get to feed the goats a bottle. (She would prefer to feed her sister a bottle but Lizzie has declined eating that way! So, the goats were the next best thing I suppose!) You can also sample 2 free beers at Grant's Farm...so it's a fun time for all!!

Visitors!!

We love having our family and friends visit us! Here we are with my step-sister Wendy and her boyfriend Matt (visiting us from Milwaukee) at Grant's Farm.

Giggling!

Alexandra LOVES singing and dancing to "Annie"...she would listen to the CD and watch the movie all day long if she could. Thankfully, Elizabeth finds her sister extremely entertaining and loves watching her dance! It is so beautiful to hear a baby laugh...and to see a three year old try to make her laugh!

Floatie Fun!

Ali and I had our own Mommy-Daughter Date and went swimming with the new floatie she got for her birthday (she was SO excited to use her floatie)! Daddy got to spend some one-on-one time with Lizzie at home and gave us time to have fun just the two of us! We scouted out the pool closest to us and it was great...there was even a lazy river with TONS of FLOATIES!! You couldn't ask for more!
So, sometimes I wonder what exactly I do all day long. Well, here is our latest new fun activity! Alexandra just needs one new "prop" and she can play for hours...start with all her new floaties, dress all her animals in all of her old/current bathing suits, and presto, you have fun for the whole day! Who needs real toys with such a great imagination??!!
