Oma and Opa

On Alexandra's real birthday, we go to the zoo with Oma and Opa, visiting from Colorado! Ali was so excited for them to come that we spent 2 hours on the driveway waiting for their car to pull up!!
We love going to the Boathouse in Forest Park for lunch...it's right by the zoo with paddleboats and ducks! Alexandra loved the paddle boats (she tried really hard to steer it) and Elizabeth loved the ducks! She is starting to say some things..."Da, da", "Ma, ma" (but sometimes I'm also refered to as "Da,da"!!) and then "Aa, Aa" for what ducks say!
MORE presents!! Happy real 4th birthday! We love you so much! We are so proud of you for being such a thoughtful and kind little girl. You are such a wonderful sister and always ask for Lulu when you wake up (or Whizzy or woo-woo or whatever you are calling her for the week!) You are so curious about everything and love to hear stories about when you were little or when Daddy or I were little. "Tell me a story when you were 4 years old, Daddy!" You make our lives so sunny with your great sense of humor and the way to catch onto things so quickly. (The other night you woke up and yelled for us. When I went in you said, "Jasmine said to the Genie, 'Are you feeling a little blue?' and the Genie said, 'I've always been blue!'" You started laughing and I couldn't help but laugh and shake my head that I was out of bed at 3am to hear a princess joke!!) We love you so much little 4 year old!

Ariel Party!

When we were looking for party items, Ali and I filled up our basket with Princess plates, napkins, etc. Then we moved down the aisle at the party store and saw just Ariel stuff...Ali was SO excited! She loves all the princesses but her dreams came true when she found the Ariel by herself things!!
Look at all the beautiful little girls dressed up!
Playing duck, duck, goose but we changed it to....Princess, Princess, Ariel!!
Happy Birthday my 4 year old!! We love you!

Party Guests

Nana & Poppa, Aunt Wendy, and Great Granny all came to help Ali celebrate! What a lucky girl!

Our family right before the party begins...Ali chose the princess outfit she wanted to wear (Ariel pink dress like the one "on land"!!)
Thanks for coming Poppa, Nana, and Wendy!

Theatre Day!

Alexandra was one of the frogs in "5 Green and Speckled Frogs, Sitting on a Speckled Log, Eating some most delicious bugs, YUM, YUM, One jumped into the pool, Where it was nice and cool..."
It was so cute to see Alexandra up on the stage...she was paying attention, a good listener, following the rules, but also had a lot of fun and participated with lots of energy and smiles! We are so proud of you!
Here she is a monkey in "Teasing Mr. Alligator, Can't catch me, Can't catch me, Along came Mr. Alligator, Quiet as can be and SNAPPED that monkey right out of that tree!" Ali was great as both a monkey and a frog! Lizzie and I loved watching the plays! Too cute!

Blueberry Baby!

She is getting really good at signing "More" and "Hungry". It is so nice to have a few signs for what she needs...although she is really good at letting us know what she wants! Lizzie is understanding so much language too...the other day Chris and Ali were talking about bonking their heads accidentally and Lizzie came over, squatted down, put her hands on the floor and "bonked" her head on the floor too! It's like she went from a baby to a toddler who understands so much overnight!

Scrambled eggs with cauliflower hidden in them and whole wheat pancakes with blueberries...Elizabeth went crazy! Yay!
