Dress Rehearsal

Oh my gosh...I can't believe how cute the girls look! This dance studio is pretty amazing...they are VERY strict about how the girls' hair and make up should be...but they turn out some good dancers! This was just the dress rehearsal and all the classes were fun to watch. This is the ballet routine to "Happy Birthday".

Here are the "Tiki Birds"...this is their tap costume.

Ali got ready at Avery's house with Mya...they were SO excited to be putting on make up! And Ali was NOT upset that the lipstick was "Color Stay" and stayed on for 2 days!

New Bedrooms and NEWS

After Elizabeth's birthday in February, we changed her room a bit...she loves her canopy and Ali wanted one too!

Here is Ali's room with her new canopy, new dresser, desk, and nightstand.

So, of course, now that our house feels all settled and the girls' rooms are all done...we have some news...WE ARE MOVING! Chris accepted a new position with his company which is based in Denver...so we are moving back to Colorado! We'll probably be here for the summer...but it all depends on selling our house. It is a pretty bad time to be selling a house, to say the least. But we are very excited to be closer to family...Chris' parents live close, my brother Pete and his wife, Sheila, (who are expecting) live in Denver, and it is closer to Arizona to see my parents. And we have always loved Denver. So, we are sad to be leaving our close friends and neighbors here...but looking forward to new adventures!

After the party

Why not climb up a mattress that Daddy is holding and slide down it??!!

Alexandra, you are such a nice little 6 year old! We love you so much and you make us SO proud! Thank you for being such a nice little girl...you make our family so happy! :)

Tea Party

Ali's friends came over dressed up for a tea party...and we talked about holding your cup of tea (or apple juice) very daintily, being very careful with the good dishes (please!), and using our best manners! The girls got to decorate cupcakes to eat and to bring home with them.

Thank You Wendy and Matt for coming to visit us and help us celebrate! It was very fun to see you guys!

The girls played freeze dance, reverse hide and seek, pass the balloon, and...

fruit basked upset...they were very cute.

Up first...Birthday Strawberry Pie

This is the first of several birthday celebrations...Ali asked for strawberry pie. (She is still in her pajamas since she got to stay home being sick all day...it WAS nice to relax!) Thanks OMA for the recipe...it was so YUMMY!

Birthday surprises!

On the morning of Ali's 6th birthday, she got up to find a treasure hunt for all of her new bedroom furniture! She asked for a desk, dresser, and nightstand...oh and a canopy, a Tangled Tower, and many more toys!

Ali was actually sick with strep throat on her birthday but she had started on antibiotics already so she was feeling pretty up to the task of opening her presents! It was kind of nice just to hang out with her, Elizabeth, Nana, and Daddy all day long (Chris was working from home!)

Here is Nana helping to put the desk together the night before! We didn't start until 9pm and we were up until 11:30pm...very late for me! :) THANK YOU Mom! :)

We have a Graduate!

Kindergarten Graduation was SO cute! Ali's school really went all out...the kids sang 3 songs, they passed out certificates individually, and the teachers put together a slide show. Ali wanted to know if there would be a graduation from EVERY grade!

Thanks Grandma & grandpa for the cute birthday dress that we opened early for graduation! :)

Happy Mother's Day

We got to go to Grant's Farm...our favorite St. Louis outing! The girls got to feed bottles to the goats, eat snow cones, and we got FREE beer!

A REAL Rainbow!

Our neighbors came over and told us to come outside to see....a full rainbow!

Ali said it was her first time to see a REAL one!
