More Weekend fun

1. Throw all the pillows you can find to the bottom of the stair case.
2. Get inside a sleeping bag at the top of the stairs.
3. Have Mommy or Daddy pull the sleeping bag all the way down the stairs.
4. Yell "Wheeeeee!!"

Lemonade...I mean...Cookie stand!

There was a reading day at school where the kids could bring pillows to read on and Ali came home wanting a pillow pet. I told her she would have to earn the money to buy it (I don't want her to think that everytime she comes home from school wanting something that we will buy it for her.) So she and some friends set up a table on the corner and sold some of the cookies that we had made the day before! It wasn't as lucrative as the lemonade stand over the summer...they got $3 this time. AND I really should have deducted some of the expenses that it took to buy the ingredients in order to provide a real life lesson...but I'll wait on that! :)

Filling time on a Snow Day!

I don't even know how I got talked into this one...but Ali wanted to use her own money to buy play make up! So we went out, bought some eye shadow and lip gloss and did some make overs! Don't we look lovely??

Snow Day!

Our second Snow Day of this school year! Our neighbor, Hannah, came over to drink hot chocolate with us and help us bake chocolate chip cookies. She is so sweet...it was even her 11th birthday and she wanted to play "Mother May I" and hide and seek with the girls on her special day! Ali was ecstatic! :)

They made it down one time on their sleds and then Ali wanted to go inside...it was windy and quite cold!

Little Elizabeth does NOT like the cold and wanted to go inside just as soon as she got outside! Here she was hiding inside the garage to get out of the cold! Luckily Daddy was home and he took her in right away!

How do we fill our January winter days?

Wrap up in yarn that was meant for Ty Ty to play with (it was his Christmas present from the girls!) and is just as much fun for the girls as it is for the cat!
Load our new ipod with lovely tunes that we haven't heard in so long since CD's were such a pain to use...now we have music all the time at the touch of a button....thank you everyone for the gifts...we love it!

Make a boat using all of the chairs from the kitchen and rowing with the mop!

First Sleepover!

All the Kindergarten girls in our neighborhood came to our house for their first sleepover! We were wondering what we were in for...we thought they would be up all night and we wouldn't get any sleep! But they actually fell asleep by 10pm and slept in until 7:30am!
They got to do some arts and crafts...

Dance to the Barbie Channel...

and watch a movie! I was impressed at how they all got along really well, treated each other very nicely, and were very well behaved! The only issue we had was one of the girls woke up at 1:30am and wanted to go home...lucky we all live so close and her dad came to pick her up! I think they all enjoyed their first sleepover. I'm glad it was at our house so that we could watch them! :) Someday soon I know I will have to let go a bit more!!

Lucky Lucky girls

When we got home I think we spent 4 days straight playing with all of our new toys and not leaving the house once! (I got to play with my new ipod!:) Thanks for all the new things...we are too lucky!!

Yee Haw!

This was the cutest place to introduce the girls to horse back riding! They gave the girls cowgirl boots and hats to wear and led them around the circle...well as Ali would say...SHE got to lead the horse around while Elizabeth and Nora rode around!
Ali riding Hollister

Thanks Grandpa and Grandma for taking us...the girls loved it!

More Christmas

Thanks so much, Nana, for taking us to the Nutcracker at Symphony Hall...it was so beautiful and such a lovely time!
Aunt Wendy helps the girls decorate their new jewelry boxes.

Christmas Eve with Daphine, me, Chris, Elizabeth, Poppa, Nana, Ali and Wendy...what a wonderful night with church and lots of singing, a lovely meal, and opening gifts.

Christmas with Grandpa & Grandma

Uncle Tony, Aunt Erin and Nora!
What a lovely day...thank you so much for making Christmas so special! The girls played together really well (they even took turns with the cash register!) and Nora made Elizabeth laugh while singing the potty song!

Early Christmas AGAIN!

Before we left for AZ, I went shopping for a couple more things. The Target bags were in the back of the car and I thought everything was covered up enough...well SOMEONE looked at the bags and said, "Is...that...a fairy...toy...in there??" So, they got to open some new toys that day and have another early Christmas!! :)

I thought it would be boring...

Ali and Elizabeth found out that they love hiking in Arizona! While we were hiking Camelback Mountain Ali is skipping down the trail and Elizabeth gets lots of SWINGS in between Nana and I going down and Ali says, "I thought it would be boring but it's FUN!" Yay! We love it too!
how lovely that it was snowing in Missouri while we were enjoying 70 degree weather!!

And of course we had to feed the ducks too! The girls actually had good throws out into the water!

How does Ty drink his water?

Are any explanations necessary?!! :)
