College reunion

Yay! While Chris was out of town for a conference and Ali went with him to stay at Oma & Opa's, Lizzie and I drove to Michele's house (I didn't know that our new cities are only about 4 and a half hours away). We hadn't seen each other in five years...look how much has changed...we both have 2 little girls now! It was SOOO much fun to meet her girls and see her and Greg!

Delaney, Shelby, and Lizzie...next time we'll have to bring Ali!! Michele's girls are SO sweet!! She and Greg are such great parents...it's so fun to see old friends as parents now!!

Ahhh...Shelby giving Lizzie some love! We had such a fun time...we talked and talked and talked...and ate really well...thanks Greg and Michele!!

Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day! Grandma & Grandpa come to visit and babysit for us so that Chris & I can go out to dinner! thank you...we don't get to do that very often!!

The REAL Day!

Our neighbors came over for cupcakes on her real birthday for her SECOND celebration. (The third will be this weekend when Grandpa and Grandma come!) They were so cute and got all excited for Lizzie to turn one!!

Daddy spends time with the birthday girl and Ali...Oh...Ali also got to pick out their outfits for the day. She did a good job! I try to give her the freedom to chose most days but sometimes it's so hard to let go of the control!!

Unfortunately, Lizzie was sick on her birthday! She caught Ali's cold and then the night before her birthday she had a rough night with an ear infection! So, she got to go to the doctor on her birthday!! Can you tell she isn't feeling so good...poor little thing!!

Ali decided what she thought Lizzie's favorite meal is....so Lizzie got to have spaghetti with turkey sausage (and some pureed veggies mixed in...shhh don't tell Ali!) on her real birthday (also happens to be Ali's favorite!!) and homemade pizza for the celebration with Nana. (Also happens to be Ali's second favorite!!) Here is Lizzie with a spaghetti face and weepy eyes and runny nose and tired face....poor baby.

Our two little sickies...this was a nasty cold that turned into a sinus infection for Ali and an ear infection for Lizzie. Poor things!!

Happy Birthday Lizzie!!

I can't believe our baby is ONE!! Here she is getting her first taste of ice cream during our first celebration with Nana (she is getting a total of three little celebrations!!) She tasted the mint chocolate chip, pointed to it, and said, "DA!" (In Lizzie speak, "I WANT IT!")

I'm ONE!! I love standing and walking around furniture, I love my sister, I give hugs and wet, wet kisses to people and teddy bears, I can wave hi, and I point and say "DA!" for anything I want! I am SO loved and my mommy and daddy think I am so cute!
